I regret that Sirius Charters no longer offers bespoke family boat trips along the Jurassic Coast. There are several reasons for this, the main one being the increasingly small weather windows that I could operate my boat in.
For the last 2 years poor or too windy weather has led to me cancel numerous pre-booked trips. This has inevitably disappointed more people than I have actually taken out on the boat. I think this is unfair on families who look forward to a great day on the water as their main holiday activity.
In addition, the cost of compliance with the numerous regulations involved in operating a commercial boat have increased significantly. This would have required me to increase my charter costs to the point where they would be unaffordable to families.
I would like to thank all those that have chartered me over the last 15 years for your support and fantastic feedback.
