Terms and Conditions

My terms are that I will treat all charters on my boat as my personal guests. However, for more specific details, please read the bullets below carefully.

• Initial inquiries can be made by phone or text to 07767 305073, but all bookings must be confirmed by email to All bookings must include a mobile phone number in case of last minute changes. Please note, I operate from Weymouth. If you Google Dean and Reddyhoff it will direct you to Portland, 7 miles away.

• Deposits may be required for advance bookings but payment on the day by cash or card is normally acceptable. Chip and Pin card payments can be accepted on the day of trip only (Visa, V Pay, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express) Chip and Pin card payments can be accepted on the day of trip only (Visa, V Pay, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay)

• If the booking is cancelled more than 48 hours in advance, through unsuitable weather, mechanical failure or circumstances beyond the skipper’s control, an alternative date or full refund will be offered.

• It is regretted that Sirius Charters is not licensed or insured to carry animals. No pets will be carried on any charter, regardless of how cute or friendly your dog is. It is also not fair to confine your dog to an area 6 feet by 2 feet in the open for up to 5 hours with no possibility of a comfort break or drink.

• Traffic in Dorset and parking in Weymouth are a nightmare; if you are driving please leave plenty of time in hand. I can occasionally arrange parking in the marina car park but it is by permission of the marina and not available at weekends or Bank Holidays.

• If the tide is high, I must catch the lifting times of the Town Bridge, every 2 hours from 0800. It takes 10 minutes to transit from my berth to the bridge so you must be at the marina a minimum of 15 minutes before the planned departure, or you will have to wait for the next bridge in 2 hours time.

• I am limited to a maximum forecast wind speed of 14 knots (about 16mph) for trips more than a mile from Weymouth. Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are 9 miles from Weymouth which gives the waves plenty of time to build up. The wind is then compressed by the cliffs and increased by about 2 knots, and then another 2 knots by the sea breeze if it is sunny. Therefore, it may look fine in Weymouth but it is not at Durdle Door. Believe me, I have been doing this for over 9 years and I cannot beat the weather; if I say it is too windy, it is. There is also no point in going out if the wind is between the east and the south, see previous sentence.
